Explaination is a way of Communication
I remembered once in my life, God had enlightened me alot in belief. Nothing in this world is yours unless you work hard to sow it. No mistake is a mistake once you had learnt from it. When a misunderstanding occured, it might not ever be an misunderstanding but just someone's misbelief or implusive anger over intangible truth so the only way to let communication kick in is to explain your doings as to untangle the knots.
If by explaining is guilty, then I think in this world there will be more than just two world wars. Cos in daily life, there tend to be misunderstanding. Misunderstanding between colleagues, family members, friends and ever between your loved one.
Please do not expect misunderstanding to wear off by its own cos it will not happen at all. Talking about it will aid you to solve misunderstanding that happened ever 10 years ago. Your kid will not understand your action of caning if you do not explain the reason why you are punishing him.
So do talk about things that you are unhappy before you are the one creating all the pain off the intangible truth created by yourself.
Come to think is it worth it?
Anyway, I decided to touch on this topic cos of a show I watched yesterday on TV. The Chinese - Wong Fei Hong. Wong Fei Hong made a grave mistake of causing great injury to a poor boy on the street by going against his promise to his Dad that he will not use a special kungfu that his Dad had taught him. Due to this, he was sent by his Dad as a punishment to Shaolin temple and his Dad had made a promise never to teach him any kungfu anymore. But in front of his wife's grave, he explained his purpose of doing so and 13th Aunt overheard it.
She explained to Wong Fei Hong that his Dad is doing this for his own welfare as Shaolin temple could better groom and teach him the right ways.
That is the problem with orient parent. Keeping everything to their heart seen like a welfare to their kids, but it is not after all. Imagine you are Wong Fei Hong, but no one explained things to you. Will you be able to strike a balance in life during your growing up in your childhood?
